Why become a member of +972?
+972 Magazine is an independent, nonprofit media organization of Israeli and Palestinian journalists that relies entirely on grants and more importantly — the support of readers like you.
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing economic crisis, media organizations across the world have been forced to lay off journalists or shut down entirely. This at a time when reliable reporting and analysis are especially crucial. This is also true for +972, as indicated by our readership over the course of 2020.
Our membership program is an opportunity for our readers to join the +972 Magazine community and help us sustain our work and our shared mission. As a fiercely independent nonprofit, our newsroom is not beholden to advertisers. As an outlet committed to reporting the stories other outlets aren’t telling, we will never have a paywall or condition reading on payment in any way.
That means we rely on contributions from readers like you. With you on our side, we will be able to dig deeper, tell underreported stories, elevate marginalized voices, and continue to change the conversation on Israel-Palestine.
By becoming a member, you help us ensure that we can keep paying our editors and writers, while also providing them with legal protection and insurance as they report from a conflict zone. You also allow us to reach more readers while introducing new formats and media.
Our reporting has reached millions and shaped the way activists, journalists, researchers, and policymakers see Israel-Palestine and the occupation. With your support, we can reach millions more.
